The next time Last Wood asks for one more try, remember that game ideas rarely appear from nowhere. Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. A second detail makes the picture even better: M.U.L.E. arrived in 1983 with multiplayer competition built around gathering resources and keeping a colony alive, an early example of resource-driven strategy play. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
