A strange little side quest
Even a quick game like Fun and Burger sits on top of decades — and sometimes centuries — of ideas. Tomatoes helped turn Naples' flatbreads into the food we recognize as pizza, which had become an important food for poorer Neapolitans by the 18th century. That is only half the story. The Oregon Trail mixed travel, supplies, risk and survival decisions decades before resource-management systems became common in mainstream games. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
