A strange little side quest
Kamaeru Mini (Demo) has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. By 1987, fantasy role-playing had become a major computer-game direction, with Zelda, licensed Dungeons & Dragons games and other story-led adventures expanding the form. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
