A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Jail Prison Van Police for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game, decades before modern 3D racers. It also connects to a different milestone: The Oregon Trail mixed travel, supplies, risk and survival decisions decades before resource-management systems became common in mainstream games. That gives Jail Prison Van Police a little more company than it first appears to have.
