A strange little side quest
Put Hexa-Match next to the history of archery and a few unexpected connections appear. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. The same trail leads to another fact: Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
