A strange little side quest
Between one round of Head the Ball and the next, this is worth knowing: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. That gives Head the Ball a little more company than it first appears to have.
