GROMBI FACT DROPREAL-WORLD TRIVIA
A strange little side quest
If Hardcore Platform Driving sends you down a curiosity rabbit hole, start here. Formula 1 introduced pit-lane speed limits during the 1994 season as safety concerns grew around increasingly fast cars and busier pit lanes. A second detail makes the picture even better: Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Hardcore Platform Driving feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
GAME BRIEFDRIVING & RACING
What you are getting into
Do you think you can drive well? Can you prove it on difficult maps? Let's go! There are 5 levels available in this game, each of which is a bunch of winding, unrelated platforms. In order to reach the finish line, the player must overcome all these platforms. But it's not as easy as it seems! If you just drive fast on the platforms, it is very easy to fall off them, and the car can turn over. And then the player will have to go from the very beginning. To drive the level to the end, you will need to accelerate somewhere, and slow down somewhere or even slightly change the trajectory of the car.
