A strange little side quest
Grow Cube has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. The same trail leads to another fact: Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. So a round of Grow Cube is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer puzzles timeline.
