A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Fireworks Rush, here is a piece of the bigger picture. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. And then there is this: Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
