A strange little side quest
Even a quick game like FNF: Friday Night Terrors sits on top of decades — and sometimes centuries — of ideas. Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That gives FNF: Friday Night Terrors a little more company than it first appears to have.
