A strange little side quest
A little context makes Eventide more fun to place on the gaming map. Early computer role-playing games helped turn rules, inventories, exploration and character progression into systems that could support long-form digital adventures. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
