A strange little side quest
Push Timing has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. And the history keeps stacking up: Modern chess traces back to the Indian game chaturanga, recorded around the sixth century and built around pieces representing parts of an army. That gives Push Timing a little more company than it first appears to have.
