A strange little side quest

One reason strategy games keeps producing good game ideas around Epic War is that its history is full of strange turns. Games resembling checkers were being played thousands of years ago; evidence of related games reaches back to around 1600 BC. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
