A strange little side quest

Between one round of Poppin' Corn and the next, this is worth knowing: Basketball became an Olympic medal sport in 1936, while women’s basketball joined the Olympic programme in 1976. It also connects to a different milestone: Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario.
