This game lets you drive a bike straight through the underworld where to other road users seem to be only skeletons and other strange creatures. In order to escape this evil place, without being caught by the skeletons you have to drive fast, and make sure you reach all the checkpoints in time!
Doom Rider belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game, decades before modern 3D racers. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That gives Doom Rider a little more company than it first appears to have.
