A strange little side quest
The next time Cube Defender asks for one more try, remember that game ideas rarely appear from nowhere. Games resembling checkers were being played thousands of years ago; evidence of related games reaches back to around 1600 BC. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
