A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Captain America: Shield Strike, here is a piece of the bigger picture. By 1987, fantasy role-playing had become a major computer-game direction, with Zelda, licensed Dungeons & Dragons games and other story-led adventures expanding the form. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Captain America: Shield Strike feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
