A strange little side quest
Before the next round of The Powerpuff Girls: Unordinary Week, here is a piece of the bigger picture. Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
