A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Zombies Can't Jump. Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 with a character called Jumpman, who would later become one of gaming's most recognizable figures: Mario. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Chess changed dramatically in Europe during the 15th and 16th centuries when the queen became the board's most powerful piece. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
