A strange little side quest

The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Zombie City is anything but tiny. The name Tetris combines a reference to four-square pieces with Pajitnov's interest in tennis. A second detail makes the picture even better: Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. So a round of Zombie City is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer puzzles timeline.
