A strange little side quest

The first crossword puzzle book appeared in 1924 in a cautious initial printing of 3,600 copies, complete with a free pencil. And the history keeps stacking up: Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
