A strange little side quest
War Clicks belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Games resembling checkers were being played thousands of years ago; evidence of related games reaches back to around 1600 BC. It also connects to a different milestone: The Oregon Trail mixed travel, supplies, risk and survival decisions decades before resource-management systems became common in mainstream games.
