A strange little side quest
Unicorn Math has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Reader Rabbit's 1986 arrival was part of a major expansion of educational computer software before the CD-ROM boom of the 1990s. The timeline takes another interesting turn: Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Unicorn Math feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
