A strange little side quest
The mechanics around Two - Timin' Towers have roots that stretch far beyond modern browsers. Modern chess traces back to the Indian game chaturanga, recorded around the sixth century and built around pieces representing parts of an army. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That long chain of experiments is part of why strategy games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
