A strange little side quest
The fun part of looking behind Toca Life Unlimited is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. During much of the 19th century in the United States, visibly painted cosmetics became socially unacceptable even though beauty practices never disappeared. The same trail leads to another fact: Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. That gives Toca Life Unlimited a little more company than it first appears to have.
