A strange little side quest
The fun part of looking behind Sue's Theater Make Up is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Barbie Fashion Designer became a major software hit in 1996, selling more than 500,000 copies in two months and proving there was a large audience for fashion-focused computer play. It also connects to a different milestone: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. That gives Sue's Theater Make Up a little more company than it first appears to have.
