A strange little side quest
Tap The Tile belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. It also connects to a different milestone: Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
