A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Supermarket Simulator, here is a piece of the bigger picture. SimCity grew out of Will Wright's enjoyment of the map editor he had built for an earlier game; the act of shaping a city became the game itself. It also connects to a different milestone: A major archery competition held at Finsbury in England in 1583 drew about 3,000 participants. So a round of Supermarket Simulator is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer simulation games timeline.
