A strange little side quest
Sue Gardening has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. A major archery competition held at Finsbury in England in 1583 drew about 3,000 participants. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
