A strange little side quest
Between one round of Stick Figure Badminton and the next, this is worth knowing: Games resembling checkers were being played thousands of years ago; evidence of related games reaches back to around 1600 BC. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. That gives Stick Figure Badminton a little more company than it first appears to have.
