GROMBI FACT DROPREAL-WORLD TRIVIA
A strange little side quest
Here is a rabbit hole for the next loading screen in Solitomb: By 1987, fantasy role-playing had become a major computer-game direction, with Zelda, licensed Dungeons & Dragons games and other story-led adventures expanding the form. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. Grombi files that under: small game, surprisingly large backstory.
GAME BRIEFACTION & FIGHTING
What you are getting into
Solitomb is a cool game where you mix solitaire cards with dungeon crawler. You play as an adventurer who made a deal with a demon. In return for some awesome power and riches, the demon needs you to clear out a dungeon filled with monsters. The demon’s trapped inside and needs your help to break free. Sounds like a totally safe plan, right? To win, you use your card skills to beat monsters and collect treasures. With these treasures, you can get stronger abilities to help you along the way. You’ll need to be smart about using your resources and keeping the demon happy.
