A strange little side quest
One reason puzzles keeps producing good game ideas around Sky Golf is that its history is full of strange turns. Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. It also connects to a different milestone: Basketball became an Olympic medal sport in 1936, while women’s basketball joined the Olympic programme in 1976. That long chain of experiments is part of why puzzles still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
