A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Sky Flap: Fantasy Sky Adventure for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. The Oregon Trail mixed travel, supplies, risk and survival decisions decades before resource-management systems became common in mainstream games. A second detail makes the picture even better: A major archery competition held at Finsbury in England in 1583 drew about 3,000 participants. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
