A strange little side quest

Sift Heads may feel immediate, but the ideas around action games have been evolving for a very long time. Space Invaders arrived in 1978 and helped turn electronic games from an arcade curiosity into mainstream entertainment. It also connects to a different milestone: Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. That gives Sift Heads a little more company than it first appears to have.
