A strange little side quest
Scooby Doo - River Rapids Rampage belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. The name Tetris combines a reference to four-square pieces with Pajitnov's interest in tennis. The timeline takes another interesting turn: Early computer role-playing games helped turn rules, inventories, exploration and character progression into systems that could support long-form digital adventures.
