A strange little side quest
Romantic Proposal has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. During much of the 19th century in the United States, visibly painted cosmetics became socially unacceptable even though beauty practices never disappeared. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That long chain of experiments is part of why fashion and style still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
