A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Rolling Maze for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. The Oregon Trail began in 1971 when three student teachers created a computer simulation to help Minnesota schoolchildren learn American history. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That long chain of experiments is part of why learning games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
