A strange little side quest
Ren and Stimpy´s Crazy Cannon may feel immediate, but the ideas around video-game history have been evolving for a very long time. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Ren and Stimpy´s Crazy Cannon feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
