A strange little side quest
Randomation has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Formula 1 introduced pit-lane speed limits during the 1994 season as safety concerns grew around increasingly fast cars and busier pit lanes. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. So a round of Randomation is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer racing timeline.
