A strange little side quest
The mechanics around Real City Car Stunts have roots that stretch far beyond modern browsers. Silverstone hosted the first Formula 1 World Championship round on May 13, 1950. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
