A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Puppy Cupcake, here is a piece of the bigger picture. Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. It also connects to a different milestone: Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
