A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Pop It 3D, here is a piece of the bigger picture. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
