A strange little side quest
Zoom out from FNF: Redux for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. The same trail leads to another fact: Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. That gives FNF: Redux a little more company than it first appears to have.
