A strange little side quest
Plants vs Zombies: Fusion Mode belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Formula 1 introduced pit-lane speed limits during the 1994 season as safety concerns grew around increasingly fast cars and busier pit lanes. The same trail leads to another fact: The word 'checkmate' is linked to the Persian expression 'shah mat', used when the king was trapped. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
