A strange little side quest

Petarimubu may feel immediate, but the ideas around archery have been evolving for a very long time. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era.
