A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Papa's Wingeria for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. Tomatoes helped turn Naples' flatbreads into the food we recognize as pizza, which had become an important food for poorer Neapolitans by the 18th century. A second detail makes the picture even better: M.U.L.E. arrived in 1983 with multiplayer competition built around gathering resources and keeping a colony alive, an early example of resource-driven strategy play. That gives Papa's Wingeria a little more company than it first appears to have.
