A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Onet Connect: Pika Link. A top Formula 1 tyre stop can happen in under two seconds; McLaren set a 1.80-second pit-stop record. It also connects to a different milestone: Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
