A strange little side quest
Next Day Battle may feel immediate, but the ideas around racing have been evolving for a very long time. Formula 1 introduced pit-lane speed limits during the 1994 season as safety concerns grew around increasingly fast cars and busier pit lanes. And the history keeps stacking up: Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That long chain of experiments is part of why racing still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
