A strange little side quest
Put Multiplayer Billiard next to the history of sports history and a few unexpected connections appear. Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. That long chain of experiments is part of why sports history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
