A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Morris Heart ♥ is anything but tiny. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That is only half the story. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That long chain of experiments is part of why video-game history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
